Elettrify has chosen connected e-bike company Vaimoo as a partner for its debut in the bike-sharing market with the service initially being deployed in the touristic venues of the Amalfi Coast.
The connected e-bike service is being deployed on Italy’s Amalfi Coast
Italian micromobility operator Elettrify has chosen connected electric bike sharing company Vaimoo as a partner for its debut in the bike-sharing market.
Elettrify’s service will kick off from the major touristic venues of the Amalfi Coast in collaboration with the Distretto Turistico Costa d’Amalfi.
Connected e-bikes
The agreement will initially see 380 connected e-bikes deployed, entirely designed and manufactured by Vaimoo in Italy, and further supplies will follow.
The partnership is under the banner of “Made in Italy” that also involves 2hire, technical partner for smart mobility solutions, which has integrated its multimodal sharing management service with Vaimoo e-bikes supplied to Elettrify.
“It is an entirely Italian project which interconnects entrepreneurship and high-technologies of our country, with the aim of creating innovative and high-value services”
According to Matteo Pertosa, CEO of Vaimoo, the partnership aims to establish more integrated and sustainable mobility systems for both large urban areas and small touristic locations.
“It is an entirely Italian project which interconnects entrepreneurship and high-technologies of our country, with the aim of creating innovative and high-value services,” he said.
Alessandro Tordi, co-founder and CEO of Elettrify Communities, which is active in 15 cities across Italy, added: “Our companies follow the same path, their solutions are of high quality so as the people, always present. The Italian market is vast and the mobility industry is just at its dawn, but the path is less difficult with the Vaimoo team.”
Vaimoo is the connected e-bike sharing system of the Angel Group and is active in Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, UK, and Poland. Last month, it announced the partnership with Spanish micromobility company CityBike Global in the Metropolitan Area of Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot, Poland to deploy the Mevo bike-sharing service.
